I've been crocheting and knitting for over 30 years. I am very proud to be an Associate Professional in the CGOA and I'm very lucky to have Doris Chan as my mentor in the design program. Doris continues to be a great help and a wonderful inspiration to my designing process.
I am also a member of the Happily Hooked on Crochet Club in
Danbury, Connecticut where Grace Gardner and Dee Stanziano continue
to weave their magic with great guest speakers (such as Doris Chan & Lily
Chin) and very informative meetings. We are so very lucky to have the
wonderfully talented designer, Margaret Hubert, as a member of our ever
expanding group. We work on many volunteer projects including making cancer
caps for the Danbury Hospital and hats & scarves for the Salvation Army.
I enjoy all aspects of needlework. The creative process, design process &
very importantly...the volunteering process. Closer to home in
Southington, CT I make prayer shawls for our church and preemie items
for New Britain General Hospital. When I'm not spending my time making all
the beautiful new designs I've been finding in books & magazines, designing
and volunteering...I teach classes (both individual & group) for knitting &
crochet and I've been booking home needlework parties to help support my
habit...err...Passion!
I can't imagine going a day without a hook or needles in hands and I'm very
thankful for all the great crafting friends I've made along the way and for
all the new friends I have yet to meet!
